Anything is Druggable with Quantum Accuracy

In the year 2020, the world was confronted with the stark reality of the sluggish pace of the drug discovery process. Driven by an unwavering conviction that no disease is impervious to a cure, Qubit Pharmaceuticals forged a strategic alliance with Nvidia to build Gaia, an extraordinary 200 GPU quantum supercomputer. The culmination of over three decades of meticulous research, Gaia harnesses the potential of the global pharmaceutical research database to expedite the development of groundbreaking drugs, often achieving remarkable results within mere minutes. Laboratories can promptly articulate their requirements, and Gaia, the supercomputer, will respond with unparalleled efficacy.

“Behind every target deemed too complex is a real patient with unmet needs”. This sentiment is a Qubit moto, but also influenced how we approached the company's rebranding. LORD was tasked to push Qubit into a more ambitious dimension. Complex or not, their product was just too good to remain stuck in the highly visually standardized pharmaceutical sector.

Inspiration for Qubit's logo and primary visual element came from the concept of the target, i.e. the disease or condition that laboratories may prioritize for study. This motif is dynamically depicted, perpetually in motion, assembling itself in an infinite array of configurations. Constantly engaged in coding, decoding, and analysis, the gooey brain of the machine propels scientific advancement and innovation without rest.

Developing better drugs, together

We designed Qubit’s Atlas software — the link between the supercomputer Gaia and the labs — with scientific focus in mind. The platform is dark with soft green tones, and icons derived from the molecular font. This carefully calibrated visual environment serves to alleviate eye fatigue among lab workers, while seamlessly integrating the distinctive brand identity elements that define Qubit.

Infinite ambition.

Qubit’s brand conveys innovation and knowledge, with a futuristic look  & feel. A molecular-inspired font, 3D designs and light colours emanates a sense of progressive thinking and effortless coolness, propelling it confidently into the future.

Dry brand design? Doesn’t compute.

In a manner analogous to the meticulous process of drug development, the Qubit team carefuly prompted us with all the details we needed. Kuddos to Robert, Sarada and Jérôme for enlightening us about their extraordinary body of work, and a special thanks to Robert for daring to cross beyond the confines of pharmaceutical design.
